Durham Women kick-off their Subway Players Cup campaign with the visit of Manchester United on Wednesday 30th September (7pm kick-off).
It’s sure to be an exciting night under the lights as the Blues welcome some of the biggest names in the game – including a number of Lionesses – to South Shields FC.

When and where is Durham v Manchester United taking place?
Durham v Manchester United will take place on Wednesday, September 30 with a 7:00pm kick-off.
The match will be held at the Wolf Competitions Stadium, South Shields FC, NE32 3UP.
Can I still get a ticket for Durham v Manchester United?
Yes! Tickets for this game remain available but must be bought online.

Is Match Day Hospitality available for Durham v Manchester United?

I need to collect my 2026/27 Season Ticket ahead of the game – where should I do this?
If you’ve purchased a 2026/27 Season Ticket, you can collect it from Turnstile 1 & 2 ahead of the game!
Is there somewhere for me to park at South Shields FC?
There is plenty of parking available around the ground on the local industrial estate.
Parking is available on both Shaftesbury Avenue and Bedesway, which are a short, level walk to the ground.
These streets are indicated in green on the map below:
Three turnstiles will be open for the game, allowing supporters to enter at various points depending on where they park.
Please respect local businesses and residents and park considerably.
Can I get to the ground via public transport?
Yes! South Shields FC is extremely accessible via public transport.
The Metro service links South Shields FC with both Newcastle and Sunderland train stations. If you are coming from Newcastle Central Station, board a Metro train heading towards South Shields from there, and alight at Bede station.
If you are coming from Sunderland train station, board a Metro train going towards Newcastle and alight at Pelaw station, before crossing the platform and boarding a train heading towards South Shields, and get off at Bede.
The ground is then within walking distance of Bede Metro Station. Alight at the station and go down the stairs before turning right if you have departed a train heading for South Shields, or turning left if departing a train going towards Newcastle.
At the next junction you come to, turn right, and there is then a short walk along Shaftesbury Avenue to reach the ground.
Local bus services operate to Simonside and the surrounding areas, which are again within walking distance of South Shields FC.
What time should I arrive for Durham v Manchester United?
Supporters will be able to enter the stadium from 5:30pm, which is when the turnstiles will open ahead of the 7:00pm kick-off.
The Club Shop will also be open from this time.
Where can I sit or stand for the game?
All supporters will have selected an area of the stadium online.
If you booked in a seating area (one of the coloured blocks in the Wolf Competitions Stand or the Ashley Timber Stand), your ticket will have a designated seat on it. Please only sit in that seat.
If you booked a hospitality package, your ticket will have contain a designated seat in the Ashley Timber Stand. This is situated next to the marquee where you will enjoy your meal.
If you booked in a terracing area, you can stand in any of the terracing areas at the ground.

What refreshments will be available?
Catering outlets will be open within the Main Stand, while the Pulman 1883 Bar and Marquee will also be serving refreshments.
You can also enjoy alcoholic drinks in view of the pitch.
The Kets n Pop stall next to the clubhouse will also be open – serving crisps, sweets and non-alcoholic drinks.

I’ve pre-ordered by match day programme online – how do I collect it?
You can collect your match day programme from the Programme Hut, situated at the end of the Wolf Competitions Stand and near to Turnstiles 1 and 2.
Can I meet the players?
Of course!
Durham Women’s squad will be available for autographs, photographs and a chat after the game.
Just head to the front of the main stand once the final whistle has been blown!
