Manchester United will find out the next steps for Benjamin Sesko this week, but the fact that the £73million striker is once again experiencing discomfort from a long-standing shin injury will be a concern.
Sesko managed the problem for spells of the second half of last season, only to aggravate it further against Liverpool at the start of May. That ruled him out for the best part of four months, with training managed in pre-season and no involvement in any of United's six friendlies during the summer.
The 23-year-old has been eased back in this season, but after starting against Sabah and Brighton, he is back on the treatment table. He missed the draw against Fulham and has withdrawn from international duty, which means he will go more than a year without playing for his country.
