Liverpool Women Complete Comeback in Subway Players Cup as Man Utd Run Riot

Liverpool Women stage a comeback for Subway Players Cup victory, while Man Utd score ten.

Liverpool came back from a half-time deficit to defeat BWSL2 side Sunderland 4-2.
Zara Shaw opened the scoring, but the visitors replied with goals later in the first half from Chloe Paxton and Eve Parker.
The Reds then struck three times in the first 10 minutes after the break, with a Maria Höbinger double and one from Natalia Ramos.
Manchester United hit double figures against Sheffield United, led by Mared Griffiths’ hat-trick.
Maya Le Tissier’s penalty opened the scoring, while Lea Schuller and Rebecca Bernal added two goals each.
Ella Toone and Jess Simpson also contributed, and Amy Andrews scored the Blades’ consolation.
Tottenham were held to a goalless draw by West Ham, with the Hammers taking a bonus point after winning their penalty shoot-out.
London City Lionesses left it late at Leicester City, scoring twice in the last 10 minutes through Nikita Parris and Kadidiatou Diani.
Aston Villa were kept at bay by Nottingham Forest until the 66th minute, when Maya Hijikata made the breakthrough.
Chasity Grant ensured victory with a second for the visitors.
Crystal Palace got the only goal of the game against Watford, with Shannon O’Brien striking eight minutes from time.
Everton beat Birmingham City 2-0, with Zara Kramžar’s first-half goal added to by Yuka Momiki.
Brighton put four past Charlton, with Olaug Tvedten’s brace complemented by goals from Caitlin Hayes and Sophie Peskett.
