Barcelona have reportedly ‘guaranteed’ JJ Gabriel that he will be fast-tracked into their first team if he chooses them over Real Madrid.
The two La Liga giants are among a host of clubs preparing their proposals to send to the Manchester United wantaway.

Gabriel is certainly considering a La Masia switch, as he flew to Catalonia last Friday to hold talks with Barcelona chiefs over a potential transfer.
However, he was previously said to be favouring arch-rivals Madrid, with Spanish outlet Sport claiming the battle for his signature is now in ‘full swing’.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are outside candidates in the race, though they have reportedly been informed that the 15-year-old is prioritising a move to Spain.
The Blaugrana, who are the reigning league champions, have assured Gabriel and his camp that he would be playing senior football ‘very quickly’ after joining.

Game time is thought to be the main reason Gabriel wants to leave United, having entered the 2026/2027 campaign with the expectation he would make his debut early on.
When he watched fellow academy prospects Shea Lacey, 19, and Harry Amass, also 19, make their Champions League debuts against Sabah, that was the final straw from his perspective.
Remarkably, he was in line to make his debut less than a week later in United’s Carabao Cup opener, but he ruled himself out of any involvement after refusing to train in the days leading up to the tie.

Yet, it’s been suggested that the Red Devils’ fall from grace over the last decade is also playing a part in the teenager’s decision-making.
He is desperate to win as much silverware as possible throughout his senior career, and it goes without saying that trophies have been incredibly hard to come by in M16 post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.
