Manchester United have completed the signing of 16-year-old attacker Isaac Konde from Liverpool, according to The Athletic.
Man United have been looking to lure the Reds academy graduate away from the Anfield club to Old Trafford since June.
The Red Devils have now got the deal over the line, and Konde has signed a one-year scholarship, which will be followed by a five-year professional contract.
It is a huge coup for Man United given the teenage sensation’s massive potential.
Both clubs are in talks over a compensation package for Konde, and Liverpool expect to receive a compensation for the player which could reach seven figures.
He is the second teenager from a rival Premier League club to link up with the Red Devils this week after 17-year-old England youth international Karim Cassim joined from Manchester City today.
Konde has been compared to Nani or Wilfried Zaha due to his style of play, and he will be joining Darren Fletcher’s under-18s once he is cleared for the move.
Players under 16 years of age transferring between Premier League clubs are unable to train until Premier League approval has been granted following an investigation.
As a result, Konde has not been training with any club for a while, but Man United are excited given his pace and direct style of play.
He will sign his professional contract when he turns 17 next year, and the off-the-shoulder winger will be eager to force his way into the first-team very soon.
Konde was part of Liverpool under-9s who signed their first contracts with the club at Anfield back in May 2018.
He was a part of Liverpool under-18s last term, making six appearances for them, but he has now joined Man United after signing his contract yesterday.
