With the extended international break taking centre-stage and club football out of the picture, Jose Mourinho and Co. continue to work hard to identify where Real Madrid have been going wrong so far this season.
Los Blancos have already lost two games, after all, and there is a real case to be made that they have underperformed even in their wins.
Amidst the distraction of the international break and the club-level crisis Mourinho and Co. are in, a third topic of interest has come to the fore – a leaked design of the first team’s kit for next season.
Return to a classic
While the 2026-27 season is still in its infancy, Footy Headlines have come out with a leaked design and prediction of Real Madrid’s 2027-28 away kit and the design hits the right chords.
There has been early information that Adidas will return to the classic black and white combination for the away kit, and the leak reinforces the same idea by providing a visual cue.
The 2027-28 away kit returns to the club’s traditional and retro colour combination with black being the primary colour and white being used as the highlights including the collar and the sleeves.

Notably, the kit is expected to have Adidas’ Trefoil logo instead of their usual performance logo, similar to this season’s away kit. It even marks the fourth consecutive season that the Trefoil logo makes an appearance in one of the team’s kits.
Beyond the colour combination and the logo itself, however, the jersey does have a clear standout which is the incorporation of a sash. The sash will be a subtle purple diagonal stripe across the front of the kit and is traditionally associated with Castille, the historical region where Madrid is located.
The kit is officially expected to be launched in the summer of 2027, and there may be several modifications to the initial leak presented.
The theme, however, can be largely concluded with a reasonable degree of confidence. From the first glance, it could well be a very special kit that turns the clock back for Los Blancos.

The Santiago Bernabeu stands as one of the big monuments of world football. After its renovation, it is now a state-of-the-art venue with facilities that few other stadiums can match.
So far, however, the Bernabeu has yet to host a major football spectacle since its renovation, primarily because the construction has still officially not concluded.
Now, however, the iconic venue could be close to earning the rights to host its first mega footballing night as the RFEF have something special planned for the city of Madrid.
Set for a grand finale

Indeed, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano in a recent update, the Spanish Football Federation president Rafael Louzan has confirmed that documents are being submitted to UEFA to host the final four and the final of the 2027 UEFA Nations League in Spain.
The two venues selected as top candidates are Jose Zorilla and the Santiago Bernabeu, and the Bernabeu is the chosen venue to host the final.
Needless to say, this comes as massive news for Real Madrid who will look to turn the night into a festival if confirmed.
Having a game of the stature of the Nations League final at the Bernabeu would only be fitting, and there is a good chance the World Champions Spain may also be participating in the title clash.
A buildup to a greater spectacle?

With Spain being one of the primary hosts of the next FIFA World Cup, there has been a massive debate in recent times as to which venue should host the final of the 2030 edition.
The Santiago Bernabeu, needless to say, stands out as one of the top contenders, but Barcelona’s new and renovated Spotify Camp Nou also has a strong claim given its boosted capacity. However, the Hassan II Stadium in Casablanca is also in the running.
Hosting the 2027 Nations League final, needless to say, provides the Bernabeu officials and Real Madrid offices with an opportunity to show the world why they deserve the chance to host the next World Cup final.
In many ways, it could also be RFEF’s means of testing the venue for the grand finale of the 2030 edition of the World Cup.
