Real Madrid’s injury woes have been a recurring theme early this season, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde all currently sidelined.
However, there is finally some positive news on the treatment table for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Eder Militao is closing in on a return, and though he won’t be returning to the pitch anytime soon, he is already in the final stage of his recovery and will start training with his teammates now.

According to Onda Cero, Real Madrid return to training on Monday, with Militao expected to begin working alongside his teammates.
The Brazilian is in the final stages of his recovery from a serious tendon injury and has received the green light to resume team training, with a return to action pencilled in for October.
Militao recently received a visit at Valdebebas from Lasse Lampainen, the surgeon who operated on him, who confirmed his recovery is progressing exactly as planned.
“A full day dedicated to his return as Eder continues to progress according to plan following surgery for his serious tendon injury,” Lampainen wrote on social media.
The defender underwent surgery in April for a rupture of the proximal tendon of the biceps femoris, with an initial recovery estimate of around five months.
Having impressed in demanding physical sessions of late, he is now ready for the crucial next step of full group training.
A timely return amid defensive concerns

Militao’s comeback could not come at a better time given Real Madrid’s issues at the back.
Dean Huijsen is suspended for the Villarreal clash, while Ibrahima Konate returned from international duty with a knock, leaving Mourinho short of options alongside Antonio Rudiger. Militao’s return would provide much-needed depth and quality to the backline.
That said, Real Madrid will manage his comeback with extreme caution given his injury-plagued recent history.
The Brazilian has accumulated a staggering number of days on the sidelines in recent years, including two serious cruciate ligament ruptures.
For now, the priority is easing Militao back gradually and ensuring he regains peak fitness before being thrown into competitive action.

Real Madrid locked in battle with Barcelona over record-breaking Mexican prodigy

Real Madrid have spent a fortune in the past few years trying to get their hands on some of the best and proven talents in the world.
And unlike the Madrid of yesterday, the club have proven that they are capable of working with developing talents in the first team, as evidenced by the success of Arda Guler.
Now, Real Madrid are on the prowl for the next potential Guler in the market and the club have set their sights on Gilberto Mora.
Mora catches the spotlight

Gilberto Mora became an overnight star for the Mexican national team this week by scoring a stunning goal against Colombia in a 1-1 friendly draw at the Azteca Stadium.
The 17-year-old lit up the occasion with a moment of individual brilliance, gliding into the box, jinking past two defenders and rifling a finish into the near post to leave the goalkeeper rooted. It was the kind of strike that explained exactly why so many consider him a future superstar.
Mora became the youngest goalscorer in Mexican national team history at 17 years and 347 days, and the milestone arrived in the same window that Rafa Marquez entrusted him with the iconic number 10 jersey, another Mexican record for the teenager.
Having already shone at the World Cup, the attacking midfielder is now firmly established as one of the most coveted young talents on the planet.

Real Madrid are among the elite clubs tracking Mora, but they face a familiar foe in the race, with Barcelona equally keen on his signature, reports Diario AS.
The Mexican is represented by agent Rafaela Pimenta, who enjoys a strong relationship with both Spanish giants, meaning that particular advantage could cancel itself out.
There is also a clear commercial motive, with Real Madrid eager to strengthen their already significant presence in the lucrative Mexican market.
Although Mora recently signed a new deal with Xolos de Tijuana, the renewal was a calculated move to smooth the path towards a big-money European transfer in the coming windows.
For Real Madrid, Mora fits the profile of a high-ceiling prospect they can nurture into a first-team star, much as they have done with Guler.
However, prising him away will be no easy task, with Barcelona and a host of other heavyweights determined to land one of the game’s brightest teenagers.
