World champions Spain are back in action tonight in the UEFA Nations League as they take on Croatia at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.
Having beaten England in their opening fixture, La Roja will be eager to extend their winning streak in what will be their first game at home since winning the World Cup.
With kickoff not very far away, manager Luis de la Fuente has announced the starting XI for the game, and two Real Madrid stars feature.
Indeed, summer signing Marc Cucurella, who has been a permanent fixture in the Spain lineup under De la Fuente, continues at left-back.
However, he will hope to improve his performances, which have been below the level he showcased at the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Dean Huijsen, who has been recalled to the Spain squad for the ongoing international break, also gets a start.
The young defender partners up with Barcelona’s Pau Cubarsi at the heart of the La Roja backline, replacing Aymeric Laporte in the lineup.
Despite his sending off against Atletico Madrid before the international break, Huijsen has made a positive start to the season under Jose Mourinho. And he will hope to make an impression on the national team boss and cement his place in the team.
