Unai Emery's Aston Villa squad houses two of the most valuable teenagers in Europe, according to the latest figures. The club has risen back to the heights of Europe in recent years and is now attracting some of the highest-potential assets on the market.
Record investment in teenage talent across Europe's leading clubs has helped drive valuations to remarkable levels. Numerous of the continent's most sought-after young players now command nine-figure estimates, though Villa are still some way off those standards.
Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal leads the rankings by a considerable margin. His emergence has drawn parallels with Lionel Messi's early years at the Camp Nou, as the teenager establishes himself among European football's leading talents.
The CIES Football Observatory values Yamal, the 2025 Ballon d'Or runner-up, at £323million. That puts him at more than double the £153m valuation of Barcelona team-mate Pau Cubarsi, who ranks second among Europe's teenagers.

As befits such a ranking, Birmingham Live has assembled a rundown of Europe's 19 most valuable teenagers. CIES takes into account elements including age, playing position, contract length and ability when calculating overall transfer value.
The Premier League dominates as the most represented league amongst those 19 players aged 19 or younger. Chelsea's Estevao leads the way among the eight English-based youngsters with an estimated worth of £103million, placing him third overall.
Villa's shrewd transfer dealings are evident with two players featuring among Europe's most valuable young talents. Ibrahim Mbaye (£63.1m) could prove exceptional value after his £47m summer switch from PSG and secured ninth place on the list.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old winger George Hemmings impressively ranks 19th despite having featured in just 12 senior matches. Eight of those have come this season, though the England under-20 has just a single assist in the EFL Cup to show for his efforts.
Together, the duo combine for an overall market value of around £105m. However, that figure could grow significantly should one or both players kick on as hoped in Birmingham.
Mbaye in particular appears to have a bright future ahead having already cracked the mould in Paris prior to his move. The 18-year-old also featured at the World Cup for Senegal, which he hopes will be just the first of many major international tournaments in future.
The hope will be that both Mbaye and Hemmings can increase their current valuations even further in the years to come. Unlike other clubs represented, Villa's business is smart in that they seemingly purchased Mbaye below market value, while Hemmings' reputation has risen since joining from Nottingham Forest in 2024.

Barcelona's third representative making the grade is midfielder Marc Bernal, valued at roughly £78.2m. That positions him marginally above seventh-placed Ayyoub Bouaddi, who carries a valuation of £77.6m despite Manchester City splashing £86m to extract him from Lille this summer.
Real Madrid have two players present among the top 19 in Yan Diomande (fourth with a valuation of £102.7m) and Franco Mastantuono (on loan at Fiorentina). However, the larger portion of those include hail from England's top flight.
Brighton invested a club-record £46m to bring Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham this summer and will be delighted with his current £60.6m valuation. He rounds off the top 10, narrowly ahead of Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha, who recently celebrated his 18th birthday.

Ngumoha is enjoying another breakthrough at Anfield this season in the wake of Mohamed Salah's departure. Such early exposure to first-team football should only enhance his market value further if he capitalises on the chance.
Geovany Quenda (£49.8m) features alongside Chelsea colleague Estevao at 13th, while Honest Ahanor represents the final Premier League entry. The centre-back is currently on loan at Crystal Palace from Atalanta but has already agreed to join Chelsea next summer in a deal worth up to £40m.
