FRANK Lampard hopes Coventry City’s victory against Nottingham Forest will breed a winning feeling against at the Sky Blues.
Coventry secured a first Premier League win for 25 years at the City Ground as Jay Dasilva’s second-half strike ended a run of four straight defeats.
The Sky Blues had slipped to the bottom of the table after failing to score in any of their first four games of the campaign.
However, Lampard hopes the win against Forest will reinforce the positive feeling around the club following a difficult start to the season.
Lampard said: “Unfortunately, with work you feel well and sometimes if you don’t win games it doesn’t get acknowledged. “When you win, everyone will go well done. We’ll keep working in the way we work. “The good thing [about the Forest win] is that it reinforces for players and everybody that, if you keep going and you fight and your together then we can do things in this league. “That feeling hasn’t been in there in four games because we’ve lost them. “Now we’ve had that [winning feeling] once, we need to keep our feet on the ground and try and get it again.”
