Hull City are closing in on a January transfer for rookie goalkeeper Deniz Donmezer.
That’s according to reports in Turkey, which claim the Tigers have agreed terms with both Kayserispor and the player himself.
On one hand journalist Reşat Can Özbudak says on X City will pay ‘One Million 50 Thousand Pounds’, which Sport Witness suggest is actually £1.5m. He adds the Turkish outfit will be due ten per cent of any sell-on profit.
On the other another journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu says Donmezer is in line for a 4.5-year deal with the option of a further 12 months. He adds the 18-year-old will arrive at the MKM Stadium in January.
Donmezer is one of the rising stars of Turkish goalkeeping and came through at Adana Demirspor before joining Kayserispor, who are currently top of the Turkish second tier, having been relegated last season.

He became the youngest goalkeeper in the history of the Turkish first division when he made his debut at 15 years, 7 months, and 26 days when Adana Demirspor played Antalyaspor in May 2024.
Overall he has made 21 Super Lig appearances and was actually first choice for Adana Demirspor at the start of the 2024/25 season.
He has been back up to 37-year-old Gökhan Değirmenci at Kayserispor this season.
And if these reports about him coming to City are accurate the likelihood is Konstantinos Tzolakis, who arrived from Olympiacos in the summer, will remain first choice. The Greek is currently backed up by Dillon Phillips.
