Chema Andres missed a 13-0 win with his national team.

But he can look forward to representing them at the finals of the Under-21s Euros.

The Albion midfielder was suspended for Spain under-21s' game in San Marino, where they knew a win would secure qualification.

His ban resulted from a yellow card in last week's 2-1 defeat in Finland.

Spain piled up the goals in Serravalle, although home goalkeeper Pietro Amici did his best to keep the score down as he was credited with 15 saves.

Chema is available for the final qualifier, versus Romania in Ibiza on Tuesday.

In senior action, Bart Verbruggen was in goal for Holland as they came from 2-0 down to grab an important 2-2 draw away to Greece in a Nations League qualifier.

Charalampos Kostoulas was described as 100% fit ahead of the game but did not get off the bench for the hosts, who have various attacking options and who led 2-0 at half-time.

Both Greece and Holland will complete their fixtures for this window on Sunday.

Diego Gomez and Albion midfield prospect Matias Orozco could face each other at some stage as Paraguay play Colombia in a friendly in New Jersey tonight.

But it appears unlikely established stars such as Gomez will be involved.

Paraguay head coach Gustavo Alfaro said: “It's so that everyone can play. We brought several players from the local scene to watch them, to observe them. I want everyone to play.”
