Leeds United star Jayden Bogle has missed out on the Premier League player of the month award for September despite being one of eight nominees.
Bogle enjoyed a fine September in which he scored in the 1-1 draw at highflying Brighton, the right back also particularly impressive in the 4-1 win hammering of Newcastle United at Elland Road.
The defender also played 67 minutes of the goalless draw at home to Crystal Palace as Daniel Farke’s Whites went into the international break unbeaten.
Despite his impressive form, Bogle was still not selected to be a part of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad but the defender was one eight players nominated for the Premier League’s player of the month award for September.
The award, though, has been handed to Brighton’s Pascal Gross for a month in which he bagged three goals and two assists, including a goal and an assist in the 3-0 win at home to Arsenal before the international break.
Gross was one two Brighton players nominated along with Charalampos Kostoulas. Liverpool also had two contenders in Alexander Isak and Jeremy Jacquet.
Manchester City’s Antoine Semenyo, Brentford’s Kevin Schade and Hull City’s Mohamed Belloumi completed the eight nominations.
The award was decided by a combination of votes from fans with those of a panel of football experts.
