Pep Guardiola could now be blocked from a huge new job in management after Manchester City were found guilty of all charges relating to breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations.

The 115 Premier League charges relate to breaches of rules committed between the 2009-10 and 2017-18 seasons. City have repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and will appeal against last week’s decision.

In the meantime, Guardiola - who announced his decision to leave Man City in May after nine hugely successful years at the Etihad Stadium - has publicly backed the club amid the guilty verdict.

“I want every single Man City fan to know I am here; more than ever. I am, always have been, always will, be behind my club, my owner, my chairman, Ferran, the players, staff, Enzo and you, our unique supporters,” Guardiola posted on social media this week.

“Let me be clear: we will get through this together. I love you all.”

Guardiola Now 'Unlikely to Manage England'

Guardiola is currently taking a break from management after almost a decade in the hot seat at Manchester City.

However, one prestigious job that Guardiola may have been interested in taking one day now appears to be off-limits, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

Balague, who wrote 'Pep Guardiola: Another Way of Winning: The Biography', told talkSPORT: "Do you know that, for two months, Pep Guardiola made the England FA wait to see if he wanted to be the England national manager?

"And instead of that he stayed at Manchester City, renewed his contract and then they went for Tuchel. In my mind, he was always going to be a candidate post-Tuchel.

"There's no doubt that this is going to happen whatever the consequences of the investigation and the cases, but I don't think he will want to be the England national manager either.

"Because he probably feels that there is far too many people interested in his legacy. But in his eyes, it was a really good job."

Guardiola Was Among Favourites to Succeed Tuchel

Guardiola would almost certainly have been high on the Football Association’s radar if the revered Catalan coach was still available when Thomas Tuchel eventually leaves his post.

But recent events mean it’s now extremely unlikely that Guardiola will ever manage the Three Lions.

However, former England international Ray Parlour admits he would still take Guardiola as England manager “all day long”.

He added: “I can see us winning the World Cup with someone like Pep."

Tuchel signed a two-year contract with the England national team, keeping him in charge of the 2026 World Cup bronze medalists through to Euro 2028.
