Thomas Tuchel’s fresh England decision with Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Boss Thomas Tuchel has named his England side for Saturday evening’s Nations League clash in Croatia, taking a fresh decision with Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and confirmation of his James Trafford call.
Calvert-Lewin’s fine start to the new season saw the Whites no 9 rewarded with another England recall for the four Nations League games during the extended break and the striker got seven minutes off the bench in last weekend’s 3-2 defeat at home to Spain.

Calvert-Lewin had replaced Harry Kane against the world champions but the Leeds striker was then an unused substitute in Tuesday night’s 2-0 win in the Czech Republic, Kane again starting but this time replaced by Jude Bellingham who had himself dropped to the bench.
England are playing four Nations League games in 11 days but Tuchel has opted to once again start Kane against Croatia, making the fresh call to keep Calvert-Lewin on the bench.
New Leeds no 1 Trafford started in goal in the games against Spain and the Czech Republic, Tuchel having revealed ahead of the Spain opener that Trafford would start the first two games and Jordan Pickford the last two matches.
Tuchel’s team sees confirmation of that, the Everton keeper resuming his place in nets as Trafford sits on the bench along with Calvert-Lewin.
Other changes see Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott handed a first start for his country, the Cherries star coming into the XI along with Bellingham, the fit again Ezri Konsa and also Jarrell Quansah.
Trafford, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Trevor Chalobah, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Morgan Rogers all drop to the bench in five changes to the side.
