Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on experienced Bayern Munich star Kim Min-jae, who is also on the radar of Aston Villa.
It first emerged a little over a week ago that Spurs had set their sights on Kim Min-jae, who is finding game time hard to come by at the Allianz Arena this season.
Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah have established themselves as Vincent Kompany’s first-choice centre-back partnership, and that appears unlikely to change.
It was subsequently confirmed by Bild journalist Christian Falk that Tottenham indeed had their eye on the South Korean, with the reliable reporter revealing that Spurs even reached out to the 29-year-old’s camp in the summer.

Bayern Munich willing to sell Tottenham target Kim Min-Jae at a discount
Falk revealed in his earlier update that Kim’s camp is set for talks with the Bayern hierarchy over his future soon, and it now appears that those discussions have been held.
This is according to a new report in TEAMtalk, which claims that the Bundesliga giants are now open to selling the centre-back if the right offer arrives.
The report claims that Spurs are not the only ones interested in the former Napoli star, with Aston Villa and AC Milan also exploring a deal.
Interestingly, the outlet asserts that an offer of £30m could prove enough to prise the experienced defender out of the Allianz Arena. However, a January move away from the Bavarian club could depend a lot on the player.
What Kim is thinking about his future
TEAMtalk say that no contacts are advanced at this stage, and Kim is content to stay and is happy with the squad role at Bayern at the moment.
The website suggests that the defender already turned down tentative enquiries from both Villa and Nottingham Forest during the summer window.
The update concludes that a January departure move is considered ‘unlikely’ at this stage, with a deal said to be ‘more realistic’ next summer.
