Arsenal have been dealt a fresh injury concern ahead of Saturday’s Premier League visit of Leeds United with news that an England star is returning to the Gunners for further assessment.
England international centre-back Ezri Konsa joined the Gunners from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window and the defender played the full duration of Arsenal’s last three games before the international break.
Konsa then left for international duty with England, the 28-year-old playing the full 90 minutes of last weekend's Nations League defeat to Spain but then rested for Tuesday night’s 2-0 win in the Czech Republic after suffering a minor injury.
Boss Thomas Tuchle then reported that Konsa had returned to full training ahead of Saturday’s Nations League clash in Croatia and the 28-year-old played the full duration of the incredible 7-0 victory.
England, though, have now revealed that Konsa has been ruled out of Tuesday night’s final Nations League game of the international break at home to Czechia and has returned to Arsenal for further assessment.
