Real Madrid and midfielder Arda Güler have reached an agreement to extend the player’s contract until 2031, according to a report published today on AS. Güler has also received a significant salary raise and while the club have not announced this extension the agreement is all but done.
Güler has become one of the team’s most crucial players and the club felt like he deserved this extension and raise. He signed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2023 and he found a way to earn a relevant role, fulfilling the potential the club saw in him when they decided to sign him away from Fenerbahce.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is next in line to sign an extension, according to that same report. This time, it will be a one-year deal.
