Albion have secured a key member of their WSL squad on a new deal.

Colombia defender Manuela Vanegas has signed what is being described as a ‘long-term’ contract with the club.

Vanegas has been an impressive contributor since making an injury-delayed entrance into the side about this time last year.

She was part of the side which reached the WFA Cup final at Wembley, scoring the goal which kick-started a comeback from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Liverpool in the semis.

The contract announcement follows the on-field boost of a 5-1 win over Charlton Athletic in league action at the Amex.
