Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott continues to get increasingly difficult with each passing week, as the midfielder’s stock rises.

It is a well-known fact that Scott is a boyhood Spurs fan, and the North London club would have been hoping that this potentially gives them an advantage in the race.

However, it has become clear that Tottenham are now competing with some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League for the Cherries star’s signature.

The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United have all set their sights on the 23-year-old, and amid this growing interest, it remains to be seen if his Spurs allegiances will have any bearing on what is a huge career decision.

Real Madrid also hold a firm interest in Tottenham target Alex Scott

A new update from TEAMtalk has now revealed that Real Madrid are now considering getting involved in the race for the Bournemouth man after being impressed by his recent performances.

Scouts from Los Blancos were in attendance in Rijeka to watch Scott deliver a masterclass as England thumped Croatia 7-0 in the Nations League.

It is revealed that this is the third occasion that Madrid have watched the 23-year-old in action this season, having also been present in Bournemouth’s Europa League win over Real Sociedad in Spain last month.

The Spanish giants are now considering whether to step up their interest in Scott, who is fast emerging as one of the most sought-after midfielders across the continent.

Bournemouth send a clear message regarding Scott ahead of the January window

TEAMtalk make no mention of Spurs in their update, instead naming Chelsea and Liverpool as the other clubs holding ‘significant interest’ in the former Bristol City man.

However, it is revealed that Cherries remain adamant they will not let Scott exit the club mid-season. In fact, they are even trying to tie down the midfielder to a new contract.

Bournemouth’s stance is not expected to prevent interest in the England international from continuing to build ahead of the January window, with Scott’s ability to operate across midfield making him an attractive option for many top clubs.

The website adds that at the moment, the centre midfielder’s value stands at ‘well above £75m’.

Unfortunately for Scott, he picked up an injury on duty with England this week and now looks to be out for the next two months.
