In the summer, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg rejected a move to Newcastle United, dealing a significant financial blow to Olympique Marseille, who remain desperate to sell the midfielder.
The Ligue 1 club have financial problems and needs to make sales to balance the books, with the Dane regarded as one of the assets they could move on.
Their situation means Marseille expect offers for Hojbjerg in January, giving Juventus another opportunity to pursue a player they wanted during the summer.
The Bianconeri were unable to beat Newcastle United to his signature previously, but they could return for him when the transfer window opens. Højbjerg remains an attractive option because of his experience and qualities in midfield.
Juventus could revisit Hojbjerg deal
Tuttojuve says Juventus could make a fresh approach in January, as Hojbjerg will be allowed to leave Marseille if the right offer arrives.
Juve regard him as a top midfielder and could still decide to make a move, despite having strengthened that area of the squad during the last transfer window.
The club have also been affected by Manuel Locatelli’s injury, which has created another consideration for their midfield plans. However, his expected return could influence whether Juventus decide to pursue another player.

Locatelli and Thuram could change plans
Locatelli is expected to return at the start of next year, alongside Khephren Thuram. Their availability could have a significant impact on Juventus’ plans for the January market.
If both midfielders return early in 2027, the Bianconeri may decide they have enough options in the position and choose not to add another player.
That would make a move for Hojbjerg less likely, even though Juventus continue to view him as a quality midfielder. Much will depend on the condition of their current options when the transfer window approaches.
For now, Hojbjerg remains a player who could become available, while Marseille need to find a solution that helps their financial situation.
Juventus will have to decide whether signing him is necessary or whether they can make the most of the midfielders already in their squad.
