Nottingham Forest resume their Premier League campaign (remember that?) when they take on Crystal Palace on Sunday.

It is a game replete with story-lines, not least Oliver Glasner’s first game back at Selhurst Park, Daniel Munoz's return, to say nothing of the growing enmity between the two clubs.

After a three-week famine it could be a veritable feast with Forest two places and one point ahead of the Eagles.

Obviously Glasner's players have been dispersed around the globe and the Austrian will be hoping they return to the fold fit and raring to go in what looks like a virtually full-strength squad.

‌

The Reds' only two absentees before the break were Nikola Milenkovic and Nicolo Savona and in the case of the former it looks as though the centre back will be fit to face Palace after playing in the behind-closed-doors friendly with Swansea.

Savona has been side-lined since January, having undergone knee surgery. Glasner recently said Savona’s recovery was 'on track' and it was possible he could be back with his teammates either during or just after the international break. The Post observed a training session last week and the Italian was not involved.

Glasner’s remaining attention will be on Dan Ndoye exploits for Switzerland against North Macedonia this evening and Morgan Gibbs-White’s game against Czechia.

‌

Palace have much more to think about. Dean Henderson has not played since early September and was not involved in the England squad with an ankle injury, he has not definitely been ruled in or out.

Chadi Riad was stretchered off versus Everton and is out long term with a knee Injury and Axel Disasi is suspended after red card against Ipswich.

Wing back Anan Khalaili had to leave the pitch after 77 minutes of Israel’s goalless draw with Kosovo, with what is suspected to be a hamstring injury - he was not named in the squad for the controversial game with Ireland a few days later.

It’s all quiet on the Ismaila Sarr front after he was named in Patrick Vieira's first Senegal squad but did not feature in any of their three matches. After missing the start of the season he came off the bench in the final two games before the break - but has not played at all for Senegal since.

‌

Takehiro Tomiyasu could feature after going off at half time of the 0-0 draw with Leeds United.

Jean-Philippe Mateta suffered a hamstring injury after he first game of the season and has not played since but the The Standard say he will be fit to face Forest.

What XI should Glasner pick? Have your say
