One of Albion's Conference League opponents look set to sign a legend of both Spain and Real Madrid.

Multiple trophy winner Dani Carvajal is set to join Getafe as a free agent.

But, while he can have a big impact around the squad and club, he will NOT be eligible to face the Seagulls.

The vastly experienced right-back parted company with Madrid at the end of last season.

It is widely reported that he will head to the Madrid suburbs to join Getafe, who host Albion on November 5.

Carvajal’s incredible track record includes six Champions League winners' medals, four LaLiga titles and success with Spain at Euro 2024.

The 34-year-old, who was born in nearby Leganes, now looks set to resume his LaLiga career in more humble surroundings than the Bernabeu.

Getafe’s wily old head coach Jose Bordalas personally called Carvajal to express his interest, explain the role he would have within the team and try to convince him to join the club.

Albion fans are still awaiting ticket details for their game at the Estadio Coliseum in Getafe, which is subject to redevelopment work at the moment.

The game will take place at the stadium, despite rumours of a switch of venue.

Tickets for the game with Panathinaikos at the Olympic Stadium in Athens in December are now on sale to eligible fans who have pre-registered.
