This promises to be a very special evening dedicated to preserving the memory and legacy of the Busby Babes and all those whose lives were lost as a result of the Munich Air Disaster on 6 February 1958. The gala will bring together the United family to remember an extraordinary group of players and people whose names will forever be part of the history of this club. This year’s event will be particularly special. Joining us will be members of the families of Duncan Edwards, Jimmy Murphy, Tommy Taylor, Albert Scanlon, Jackie Blanchflower, Dennis Viollet, Tom Curry, Eddie Colman and Sir Matt Busby, alongside our honorary president Brian Kidd, Manchester United staff and special guests.

Five-time Premier League and two-time Champions League winner Wes Brown will also be in attendance and will treat fans to a question and answer session as part of this special event. The evening will also feature an auction of unique pieces of Manchester United memorabilia, giving supporters the opportunity to acquire something genuinely special while helping worthwhile causes. Proceeds from the evening will support the children’s charities assisted by the MMMF.

For supporters, this is more than a fundraising dinner. It is a rare opportunity to spend an evening at Old Trafford with families directly connected to the Busby Babes, United legends and fellow supporters, while helping to ensure that the legacy of Munich continues to be passed from one generation to the next.

Ifty Ahmed, MMMF's chair, said: “The Busby Babes belong not only to Manchester United’s history, but to future generations of supporters. Their story is part of this club and we have a responsibility to pass it on. This evening is about bringing the United family together, remembering all those affected by Munich and ensuring that their names, achievements and legacy are never forgotten.” Rick McGagh, director of fan engagement, said: "The MMMF do a fantastic job in keeping the memory of the Babes alive whilst also raising thousand of pounds for good causes in Manchester, Munich and Belgrade. Their annual dinner is central to their fundraising efforts and I encourage all fans, young and old, to join us on the night for what will be another memorable evening at Old Trafford."
