Owls v Sunderland U21s team news
Manager Henrik Pedersen has made six changes to his starting line-up ahead of Wednesday's Jersey Mike’s Trophy clash against Sunderland Under-21s at Hillsborough this evening.
Connal Trueman, who will make his Wednesday debut between the posts, Sean Fusire, Ricardo Santos, Gabriel Otegbayo, Billy Mitchell and Callum Slattery have been drafted into the starting line-up, replacing Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Ernie Weaver, Di’Shon Bernard, Reece James, Will Grainger and Davis Keillor-Dunn.
Fusire, who recently represented Zimbabwe on international duty, is making his first start of the season.
Elsewhere, youngsters Kailen Hatfield, Denny Oliver and Samuel Duruh have been named on the bench.
Midfielder Barry Bannan also been included in the matchday squad after taking up a watching brief against Salford City.
