Carlos Baleba ball work at Carrington
The Reds return to Premier League action after an extended international break with a 17:30 BST kick-off against Roberto De Zerbi's men.
Baleba played in a behind-closed-doors game against Lausanne-Sport last week, on the back of being an unused substitute in our 1-1 draw at Fulham, last time out.
The summer signing from Brighton & Hove Albion arrived with an injury but has worked hard on his fitness at Carrington.
He played under De Zerbi during his time with the Seagulls.
Carlos Baleba and Roberto De Zerbi
Carlos Baleba will be reunited with Roberto De Zerbi.
Baleba could become the fifth debutant of head coach Michael Carrick's reign, with Tyler Fletcher blooded against Spurs in last season's Old Trafford fixture, while recent recruits Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow have already made their bows this term.
Chido Obi made his senior debut in the away game against the north Londoners in February 2025.
Five Reds made their maiden competitive appearance for the club in the opening Premier League game of 2015/16 against the capital club - Matteo Darmian, Memphis Depay, Sergio Romero, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Others to have started out for United against Spurs include Bryan Robson, Martin Buchan and Johnny Giles.
Carrick is likely to provide an update on the team news in his 13:30 BST press conference on Friday.
