Gianluigi Donnarumma has already had assurances from Manchester City bosses that 'sporting justice' will prevail in the 115 case. The Italian goalkeeper, signed last season from Paris Saint-Germain, is due to meet up with his teammates again on Thursday for the first time since City's guilt was confirmed but has already had conversations with the club.

Donnarumma's agent Enzo Raiola said that 'everyone is calm' about the situation despite the serious consequences for the club and its playing squad if the guilty verdicts are upheld. Ahead of team meetings with Enzo Maresca and other club bosses this week, plenty in the squad have heard the key messages.

"Will the Manchester City chaos change anything? No, nothing will change for us or for Gigio," Raiola told Radio Napoli Centrale. "News comes out periodically. The club has spoken with Gigio and everyone is calm.

"Now there are important games against Liverpool and PSG, then sporting justice will take its course. But Gigio has had reassurances from Manchester City.”

Maresca will hold a press conference on Friday morning ahead of the Liverpool game, where he will be asked about the club's guilty verdicts and the impact on the players. The coach will look to his four captains to help lift the squad for the big matches coming up, which now include Donnarumma.

Ruben Dias became captain following Bernardo Silva's departure in summer, and joining Erling Haaland in the leadership group have been Marc Guehi and Donnarumma.
