Leeds United Predicted XI vs Arsenal with 'harsh' verdict, Brighton example & key battle area…

Leeds United’s three-week break from football comes to an end on Saturday when they travel to Premier League champions Arsenal. The Whites have spent the international break fifth in the table following a brilliant five-game unbeaten start to the season but this weekend will be their toughest challenge yet.

Daniel Farke should welcome back most of his international stars unscathed, the only known injury being to Jean-Matteo Bahoya who withdrew from the France Under-21s squad with an ankle injury. The likes of Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi played every minute for their respective nations while others including Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anton Stach enjoyed some rest.

Farke has kept his starting line-up pretty stable through this good early run of form with only two or three positions really up for grabs. With that in mind, the YEP has attempted to predict how the Leeds boss will line up at the Emirates on Saturday lunchtime.

Let's see how Daniel Farke could line his Leeds side up this weekend.

Fresh off the back of playing twice for England during the break, Trafford will be full of confidence to continue proving himself. The club-record signing will need to be at his absolute best if Leeds are to take anything from the Emirates.

With Joe Rodon still injured, Justin keeps his place in the back three and has done everything asked of him in that complex hybrid role. Should be well rested too, with no international commitments.

The centre-back was in great form before the break, keeping Jaka Bijol out of the team, and played every minute in four wins for Switzerland. The physicality of Viktor Gyokeres might call for a Bijol but it would feel very harsh on Elvedi, who has settled in brilliantly.

The Bosnian is absolutely nailed on to start, as he has done in every game for club and country so far this season. This will be Muharemovic's toughest task yet with Arsenal so dangerous down their right-hand side and in those pockets of space.

With Justin at centre-back there is no alternative but Bogle is a no-brainer to start regardless. No Christos Tzolis to defend against on Saturday but the wing-back will have a complex task, particularly when it comes to full-back Riccardo Calafiori who pops up all over the place.
