Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall has been offered to Juventus through intermediaries as the prospect of an N17 exit in January continues to be floated.

The 20-year-old was actively looking to move on from Tottenham during the last summer transfer window as he grew concerned about a lack of minutes.

However, Spurs rejected several offers for the midfielder, determined to retain his services, and last month rewarded him with a new contract that included a substantial salary increase.

The Swede has insisted that the lucrative terms handed to him are no more than he deserves, but Bergvall also wants playing time.

Beyond the salary increase, the Lilywhites also provided Bergvall with assurances over a clear pathway towards a more prominent role in the future, which contributed to the midfielder committing to a fresh deal.

Nevertheless, the new contract has done little to stem speculation surrounding Bergvall’s future as he continues to struggle to cement a spot in the team.

It has emerged that a host of Italian clubs are lining up to make a move for the Swede during the winter window.

Now, according to Italian outlet Tutto Juve, Bergvall was recently offered to Juventus by intermediaries as a potential addition to their engine room.

Manager Time at Club

Roberto De Zerbi March 2026 – present

Igor Tudor February 2026 – March 2026

Thomas Frank June 2025 – February 2026

Ange Postecoglou July 2023 – June 2025

Antonio Conte November 2021 – March 2023

Should Spurs be open to a loan departure for the midfielder in January, Juventus could consider bringing him to Turin.

Whether the Lilywhites would entertain such a move remains unclear, particularly given their long-term plans for Bergvall.

Tottenham and the Bianconeri already did business twice during the summer, with Guglielmo Vicario and Pape Matar Sarr involved in those deals, and look to have good lines of communication open with N17.

The Swede has so far accumulated just 78 Premier League minutes across three appearances, and if his playing time fails to increase, Tottenham could once again face a situation similar to the one that prompted discussions over his future during the summer.

Spurs are facing a single fixture per week until the FA Cup gets under way in January following their early EFL Cup exit and absence of European football, leaving Roberto De Zerbi with a more demanding task in keeping all his midfield options satisfied.
