Leeds United Injury News Ahead of Arsenal vs Leeds
Daniel Farke has provided an update on Leeds United injury news ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash at Arsenal.
Welsh internationals Joe Rodon and Harry Wilson both went into the international break injured, and the Whites boss has provided positive updates on the pair’s recovery. However, two other Leeds players have now returned from international duty carrying injuries.

Rodon has not featured for the Whites since picking up a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw against Brentford on August 30. The defender’s recovery window was initially set at eight to ten weeks, suggesting he may not return to first-team action until November.
However, Farke provided a rather more positive assessment of the Welshman’s situation, saying in his pre-match press conference: “Joe Rodon is on his way back in his rehab, making good progress.”
He added: “He has already had individual sessions on the pitch but it will be a bit until he is back in team training.”
In the case of Wilson, who was ruled out of Wales’ international fixtures with a quad injury, the German revealed that he had returned to team training this week.
He said: “We have to wait right now how his body reacts, but there is also a chance for him to be available going into this game.”
Daniel James Ruled Out of Saturday’s Match
It was less promising news regarding Daniel James, with the winger returning from Wales duty with a back injury.
Farke confirmed that the 28-year-old will not be available for Saturday’s match, but did not suggest when he is likely to return to the squad. The forward has featured in five games this season, scoring once.

Despite playing just 90 seconds of football since joining Leeds United, Jean-Matteo Bahoya played 180 minutes for France Under-21s in the international break, before being forced off with an ankle injury against Luxembourg U21 last weekend.
In his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Farke said the winger was back in team training, suggesting that his injury is only short-term.
He added: “There is a chance that he is available. At least there was progress.”
The Last Word: Farke’s Wait For New Contract Continues
Since arriving at Elland Road in the summer of 2023, Farke has brought a much-needed sense of calm and stability to the club. With Leeds looking more and more like a settled Premier League side, collecting nine points from their opening five league games this season, the time has surely come to tie the German down to a longer contract.
With just nine months left on his current deal, the Whites are at risk of losing Farke if they cannot agree an extension soon.
When asked about the possibility of a new contract in his press conference, the Leeds boss said: “I have no news. Just compliments for Paraag [Marathe]. It is a joy to work with him.”
