Gameweek 5 was an underwhelming week unless you had Brighton assets or Lewis Hall. Now, after 3 long weeks of boring Nations League football, the excitement of the Premier League is back.
2 of our 6 picks returned big points.
Barry – 1 Goal – 6 Points
Thiaw – 13 Defcon – 4 Points
That makes it 12/30 picks who have achieved success.
In this article, we will be highlighting 5 Players who are less than 10% owned and 1 ultra differential (less than 1% Owned) for all of you as of Thursday 8th October, 2026. There are many more whom you guys can consider if you decide to not go with the 6 players mentioned below.

FPL GW6 Differential Picks
Gonzalo Garcia – Fulham – 6.0 Forward – 4.4 % TSB
A Dream Fixture run awaits Fulham as they take on the 3 Promoted teams Ipswich, Hull and Coventry back to back to back. They then take on Aston Villa and Newcastle. The common thing about all these sides is that each of them lie in the Bottom 10 for xGC.

Garcia is ranked 7th best for xG among Forwards this season with tallies of 15 Shots and 13 Shots in the Box. He has got 4 Big Chances and racked up a healthy xG of 2.34. He is Fulham’s main Goal Threat with an average of 3 Shots, 2.6 Shots in the Box, 0.8 Big Chances and 0.47 xG per start.
Garcia also has the added benefit of taking penalties, having scored 8 penalties so far in his career. Finally, Ipswich’s weakness of conceding big chances through the Center of the pitch makes Garcia a very tasty option for this Gameweek. (Isak, Bruno, Strand Larsen and Barry have already taken advantage of this positional weakness). With so much going his way, Garcia could be a great Cheap Forward for the short term.

Harvey Barnes – Newcastle United – 6.1 Midfielder – 6.1 % TSB
Newcastle face Coventry, Aston Villa, Palace and Fulham in 4 of the next 5 Gameweeks. All of them have leaked goals this season, Coventry have also been thrashed a couple of times this season already. Another good omen is that Newcastle have scored in each of the 5 Games they have played this season.
Once a rotation risk, Barnes no longer has too much competition to worry about this season. He has already scored 1 Goal and got 3 Assists and has played 90 minutes in all 5 matches this season. Barnes has had 8 Shots, 6 Shots in the box, and 4 Shots on Target. He has also created 6 chances for his teammates. Worry from rotation is no longer there, and that makes Barnes a short-term explosive pick in my opinion as Newcastle face teams that are all struggling defensively.

Charalampos Kostoulas – Brighton – 5.6 Forward – 5.1 % TSB
2 successive 10-pointers, 4 attacking returns in the last 2 Gameweeks. The young Greek forward is on a hot streak. His stats back it up as well, as he is ranked 4th among all Forwards for Shots per 90. He is averaging 3.3 Shots per 90 and has got 5 Big Chances so far this season. He has had 9 Shots in the Box and 5 Shots on target, making him Brighton’s biggest Goal threat.

At that price and with the form Brighton are currently in, he is a great option for those on a Wildcard. He can easily be benched in the harder games against Liverpool and City in Gameweeks 8 and 9 and then played against all other teams as Brighton embark on a beautiful run of games from Gameweek 10. With Gross being owned by almost everyone now, getting another Brighton attacker will bring in the Differential points to climb your Mini Leagues.
Fun fact: Brighton have had the most xG in the Premier League this season (12.03) & have also scored the most goals (16) too!
Josh King – Fulham – 5.6 Midfielder – 3.1 % TSB
A Dream Fixture run awaits Fulham as they take on the 3 Promoted teams Ipswich, Hull and Coventry back to back to back. They then take on Aston Villa and Newcastle. The common thing about all these sides is that each of them lie in the Bottom 10 for xGC.
Ipswich’s weakness of conceding big chances through the Center of the pitch makes King a great option for this Gameweek, similar to Gonzalo Garcia. (Isak, Bruno, Strand Larsen and Barry have already taken advantage of this positional weakness). He could be the perfect replacement for those looking to ship out Sangare.

King has had a great start to the season with 2 Goals already. His stats are even more impressive as he has had 14 Shots, 11 Shots in the Box, and 7 Shots on Target. He has also created 4 chances and been involved in 3 Big Chances. He has had a remarkable 37 touches in the opposition penalty box, which means he is playing almost as a Striker. This is the highest in the League.

Marcus Tavernier – Bournemouth – 6.1 Midfielder – 6.9 % TSB
With Kluivert and Kroupi Jr. out for the next few weeks, Tavernier becomes Bournemouth’s talisman. He takes set pieces and will also be the man to take penalties until both of them return. So far he has scored 3 goals, and his stats show that he has been unlucky to not have got more returns. He ranks 5th among Midfielders for non-penalty xGI.
Tavernier has been Bournemouth’s talisman this season, accounting for 24% of BOU’s xGI
Bournemouth begin a dream run of fixtures from Gameweek 9, but even in the weeks prior to that, they will face 3 teams who are struggling defensively. Chelsea have conceded the most goals in the League so far. Sunderland have conceded the 3rd most and are a mess away from home. They conceded 5 to City in their last away game, while Manchester United have not yet kept a Clean Sheet so far this season.
With such a brilliant fixture run and being the clear talisman for Bournemouth, Tavernier looks a brilliant pick for his price. Get on him early as nearly everyone will be going for him when their dream run begins from Gameweek 9.
Fun fact: 4 of the above 5 differentials (Tavernier, King, Barnes, Garcia) have over 0.4 xGI/90 this season.

FPL GW6 Ultra-Differential Pick(<1% TSB)
David Affengruber – Everton – 4.5 Defender – 0.2 % TSB
We are going with Triple Fulham this Gameweek as we are completing the lineup with a Fulham defender. Fulham face 5 of the bottom 6 teams for xG in the League in the next 5 Gameweeks. That could make a Fulham defender worth a gamble for those Wildcarding this Gameweek.
Since Affengruber’s introduction, Fulham have tightened up defensively as they have conceded only 1 goal in the last 2 Games. Remember they played Liverpool and Manchester United in these Gameweeks. He has also hit Defcon in both these games and is averaging 11.5 Defcons per 90 minutes. This adds to his potential for getting FPL points.
That’s it for Gameweek 6. We will be back with 6 More Differentials next Gameweek, where we will be hoping to get some positive returns from our current selected Differentials for Gameweek 6.
