Despite only recently putting pen to paper, Lucas Bergvall is already being linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.
Lucas Bergvall enjoyed a strong international break with Sweden, featuring in all of their matches. He played 90 minutes in three games and came off the bench once.
Although he did not score, the Sweden international impressed in midfield, earning a rating of 7 in each of his starts. However, those levels have not been replicated at Tottenham, where he has managed just one Premier League start this season – the opening fixture against Brentford.
Bergvall was substituted at half-time in that match, having been at fault for one of Brentford’s goals.

Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall is subject to Juventus interest
The attacking midfielder has since signed a new deal, but that has not stopped transfer speculation. Fresh reports from TuttoJuve claim Bergvall is keen to play more and could seek a January move if his situation does not change.
That stance has reportedly attracted interest from Juventus, with intermediaries sounding out Bergvall’s situation to the Old Lady.
He could prove a good fit for the Bianconeri, who are in the market for a midfielder and are already focused on former Tottenham man Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. But it is reported that Bergvall’s future could depend on whether Spurs are open to a loan deal.
Spurs and Juventus’ transfer dealings could help the Old Lady in Bergvall pursuit
Tottenham and Juventus are no strangers to doing business, having completed several deals in recent years. In the recently concluded summer transfer window, Guglielmo Vicario and Pape Matar Sarr both made the move from N17 to Juventus.
The pair have settled in well, with Sarr featuring twice for Juve in Serie A and Vicario making five appearances.
Luciano Spalletti has also been impressed by Sarr, describing him as a thoroughbred. He said: “Sarr is a thoroughbred because he has quality in his running. He had a good game tonight, especially considering it was his first.
“He also responded to me a couple of times, so that is positive. Players with these qualities can sometimes lack a bit of sharpness, but he did many things well. He was always involved with the team and close to the ball. I am happy with his performance.”
