10 Premier League stars returning to England in form after the international break: SuperCoach EPL guide

The Premier League returns this weekend and the clock is ticking on your chance to revise your squads after a significant international break.

[For SuperCoach EPL managers – or real life ones – the prolonged window has caused injury carnage.](https://football360.com.au/premier-league-injury-news-international-break-supercoach/)

But, with UEFA Nations League taking place with some countries playing as many as four games, there are a whole cohort coming back to England with momentum behind them, too.

Here are some of the players returning to Premier League action with runs on the board from international duty.

**Viktor GyökeresArsenal / Sweden**

**SuperCoach EPL Price: £6,330,000**

The big striker hasn’t been a regular for Arsenal but he scored in all four of Sweden’s matches – a perfectly timed run of form given Kai Havertz has returned from Germany injured. Newly resigned boss Mikel Arteta will hope he can bring his Nations League form to the Premier League; he’s scored in seven consecutive matches! “It feels good. It feels like you get good chances and then you score. But we could probably have done more in the first half and killed the game. We let them play and didn’t get up in the press well enough in the second half, so we made it difficult for ourselves,” Gyokeres told Viaplay, as quoted by Fotbolldirekt.

**Mikel MerinoArsenal / Spain**

**SuperCoach EPL Price: £3,500,000**

We’re setting a limit on Arsenal players here, because the scary truth for rival supporters, is a lot of players went well for the countries – even if they’re not regular starters in north London. World Cup winner Merino is another; he just keeps scoring key goals. This time, it was a brace against Croatia, off the bench, with another goal against Czechia. A dependable fringe option for all managers. His six goals in 16 substitute appearances in the last two years is more than any other player in European football. “It’s an honour to coach a player like that,” De la Fuente said of Merino. In another country he would be more valued. I hope more will be done. Merino is one of the best in the world in his position. He has the class to play in any team and can always play, obviously. He knows how to understand these moments of the match. He has that gift that is the sense of the goal, for important goals, too.”

**Florian WirtzLiverpool / Germany**

**SuperCoach EPL Price: £7,150,000**

Working under Jurgen Klopp with Germany, Liverpool’s polarising playmaker returns to Anfield with a winning goal and Man of the Match display against Serbia under his belt. Liverpool’s former boss also gave him license to roam, and he captained his country for the first time.

**Oscar BobbFulham / Norway**

**SuperCoach EPL Price: £5,720,000**

The attacker was a popular early SuperCoach EPL pick but has had limited game time so far for Fulham. He returns with two goals for Norway under his belt, where he fared better teaming up with the likes of Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland.

**Dan NdoyeNottingham Forest / Switzerland**

**SuperCoach EPL Price: **£**3,970,000**

The versatile winger’s place in Oliver Glasner’s XI might have been in doubt but he returns from international duty in form, with two assists against Scotland before the winner against Slovenia and a brace in a 3-0 win over North Macedonia in an action packed performance.

**Michael KayodeBrentford / Italy**

**SuperCoach EPL Price: £6,840,000**

The defender is now suddenly reportedly on the watch list for Liverpool, Juventus, Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle, so, potentially, he should be on yours too. The rightback scored on his Azzurri debut in a 4-1 win over Turkiye and then was brought off the bench by Roberto Mancini in the 3-1 win over Turkiye in Bologna.

**Martin ØdegaardArsenal / Norway**

**SuperCoach EPL Price: £8,680,000**

We’ll allow for one more Arsenal player, because their skipper teed up four goals for Norway during his international break. In his last 10 games for his country, he as 12 goal involvements. He played every minute of his country’s window, although that included defeats against Portugal (twice) and Wales, with a win over Denmark. He also has a bit of an ankle niggle, too.

**Omar MarmoushTottenham / Egypt**

**SuperCoach EPL Price:**

**£4,100,000**

Roberto De Zerbi needs his attacking signings to start to make an impact, so he’ll be hoping Marmoush’s brace for Egypt against South Sudan in a 5-0 win to grab their first win of the 2027 AFCON Qualifiers helps him bounce back to form in England. He’s a handy price for SuperCoach EPL, if he does.

**EstevaoChelsea / Brazil**

**SuperCoach EPL Price:**

**£3,500,000**

After departing Queensland, Brazil went on to a tour of India, with the diminutive attacking player scoring and setting another in a 4-0 win as he eyes his first Premier League start of the season. “The coach is a guy who trusts me, so I try to put that into practice on the field,” he said. Getting playing time, especially for Brazil, is an honour. So I think those minutes were very important for me to get back into rhythm.”

**Bryan Mbeumo**

**Manchester United / Cameroon**

**SuperCoach EPL Price: **£9,880,000****

Mbeumo has at least given United fans something to look forward to during the international break. He scored for Cameroon and returns to Manchester with a confidence boost as Michael Carrick looks to get more out of his attack after an inconsistent start.
