FRAIZER CAMPBELL has backed Lewis O'Brien to reach the Premier League, insisting the Wrexham midfielder has always had the talent, work ethic and attitude needed to play at the highest level.
Campbell, who played alongside O'Brien at Huddersfield, recalled a player whose focus was firmly fixed on self-improvement from an early age.
"Lewis O'Brien was brilliant at Huddersfield Town," Campbell told BOYLE Sports, who offer the latest football odds.
"He was young, humble, and worked really hard. Everything he did was to improve his physical ability or his footballing ability."
Campbell believes those qualities are the hallmarks of a player destined for the top and expects O'Brien to eventually get his opportunity in the Premier League.
"So that's the type of person that you want to see or will reach the top," he added.
The former striker also joked that Wrexham's growing global profile under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac may have played a role in attracting O'Brien to The Racecourse.
"Yes, maybe I think the stardom of Wrexham enticed him a little bit because he loves Marvel films!"

O'Brien has become a key figure for Phil Parkinson's side since joining the club, helping Wrexham establish themselves in the Championship following their rise through the divisions.
And Campbell is convinced the midfielder has the ability to make the step up again in the future.
"I think eventually he will get a crack in the Premier League because he's good enough to mix it with the best," he said.
"And hopefully he will do that at Wrexham so he'll be able to be in a Marvel film and play in the Premier League at the same time."
