Everton owners, The Friedkin Group, have put the Hill Dickinson Stadium club up for sale and could be looking for around £800 million, according to The Times’ Paul Joyce.
Everton were purchased less than two years after the Toffees former owner’s – Farhad Moshiri – 94 per cent stake was acquired for £331m in December 2024.
David Moyes could have a new boss soon, with Dan Friedkin’s TFG confident a sale can be sealed this season.
The £800m asking price mooted includes debts of about £380m, and Moelis & Company are leading the process for a potential takeover.
While TFG had been seeking investment for Everton, they are now open to a full sale once the right buyer comes forward.
Moyes’ men have started 2026-27 on an impressive note despite an underwhelming summer transfer window.
The Toffees are one of the five clubs unbeaten in the Premier League this season after five games.
They have won two games and drawn the other three and will hope to sustain the momentum when they take on Hull City on Sunday.
The Merseyside club will not be short of suitors, but fans will hope the next takeover helps take the club to the next level.
Everton want to be challenging for trophies and Europe every season, and they will need plenty of quality investment in the squad to get that done.
