Last Word on Football brings you the latest team news and the confirmed lineups for Arsenal vs Leeds at the Emirates on October 10 in the Premier League. The Gunners began the season in great form, winning all seven fixtures in all competitions, including the 3-0 win over Manchester City in the Community Shield. However, that good start came to a grinding halt before the international break, with a 3-0 defeat against Brighton. Leeds have enjoyed a promising start to their campaign, and remain unbeaten in the league, as they travel to North London full of confidence.
Arsenal vs Leeds United, Team News and Confirmed Lineups
Arsenal Team News
At the pre-match press conference, Mikel Arteta was asked about the fitness of Declan Rice, and said:
“We have to manage him because he’s had a few issues since he’s come back from the World Cup, and we know the amount of games he’s played in the last three years. It was the sensible thing to do, and hopefully tomorrow he’s available but some others are in doubt.”
Discussing the injuries to Kai Havertz, Ezri Konsa, and Christos Tzolis, the Gunners boss said:
“With Kai, he had a muscular injury, so I spoke to Jurgen [Klopp] and immediately they sent the player back, as is normal. Ezri has been carrying some issues as well and we had good communication with the England camp about that. Tzolis has a muscle injury, and he’s going to be out for a few weeks. He’s not available yet.”
“They are both available. They did incredibly well to be available for the Brighton game, but we decided not to use them at the end, especially in the manner that we had to play the last few minutes, but they are both available. And Ben White is available as well,” added Arteta on the availability of Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera.

Leeds have looked good so far, and remain unbeaten after five games, however, Arsenal will be easily their biggest test up to this point. Mikel Arteta’s team will be fully fired up after losing 3-0 to Brighton before the extended international break.
The Gunners will also be boosted by the inclusion of some key players, who have been nursing injuries and concerns regarding load management. We are backing Arteta’s team to bounce back.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Leeds.
