A transfer to Liverpool is “possible” for Kylian Mbappe according to new reports, with the French superstar claimed to be unhappy at Real Madrid.
Mbappe has once again been linked with a move to Anfield in recent days amid speculation of unrest at the Bernabeu. The 27-year-old is yet to win a domestic trophy since making the switch from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024, with sensational rumors now suggesting that he could look to leave his current club soon.
Liverpool has been touted as a possible destination for him throughout his career, with Mbappe recently lifting the lid on the talks he held with Jurgen Klopp before he left Monaco in 2017.
Now, RMC Sport journalist Daniel Riolo has told Spanish outlet Marca has talked up the prospect of Mbappe leaving Madrid, and the possibility of him landing at Anfield.
Riolo claims that Mbappe is “disappointed” that Real’s problems from last season remain despite the return of Jose Mourinho as manager. What’s more, he says that it is “absolutely impossible” for Mbappe and Vinicius Jr to play in the same side.
As such, he suggests that the French international could look for “some peace and quiet” in the Premier League, with Liverpool a potential destination. Reports elsewhere in Spain this week have claimed that Mbappe has prioritized a move to Anfield should he end up leaving Madrid.

Asked about a move to Liverpool for Mbappe, Riolo said: “It’s possible. Because he doesn’t seem well to me. He seems to be in his own world and says, ‘I don’t care about anything, not the journalists, not the club members, nothing at all'.”
Mbappe’s connection to Liverpool is well known at this stage, with the forward having held talks with the club before he eventually moved to PSG in 2017.
"It was while I was playing in Monaco," Mbappe told The Athletic last month. "I had to take a decision. And yes, I was close to Liverpool. My mum was a big fan of Jurgen Klopp and the favorite destination for my mom was Liverpool. She wanted me to go there.

"I didn’t listen because I wanted to play in my city, Paris. I didn’t want to leave my country before I was someone.
"But yes, my mom was always saying, ‘Liverpool — you’re going to be there, playing at Anfield, it’s going to be insane for you.’ I was like, ‘OK!’
"She went there (for) the first step of the negotiations. She went to the city, the stadium, she met the people. She was like, ‘It’s a wonderful club, everybody’s so kind, it’s a family club, a big club'."
