Jude Bellingham’s reaction after Vinicius Jr was shown a controversial red card during Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over Villarreal on Saturday night has gone viral on social media.
Real Madrid secured all three points at the Bernabeu thanks to Yan Diomande’s 62nd-minute goal.
Vini Jr, who was named among the substitutes by Jose Mourinho but replaced Trent Alexander-Arnold early in the second half, thought he’d doubled Real Madrid’s lead in the 71st minute.
However, the goal was disallowed after a VAR review. Replays showed Vini Jr had pulled Nathan Saliba’s hair in the build-up.
The Brazilian was then shown a straight red card, to the disbelief of everyone associated with Los Blancos.Watch the incident below:

Fans, along with various Real Madrid accounts on X (Twitter), are convinced the England international said: “Wow, f*** me. The game’s f***ing gone. Wow.” Watch the clip below:
Meanwhile, Bellingham’s teammate Aurelien Tchouameni told Real Madrid TV: "I don't understand what's happening with the referees, with the red card. I don't understand it.”
And Jose Mourinho skipped his post-match press conference, fearing he would potentially land himself a touchline suspension for Real Madrid’s upcoming La Liga fixtures against Sevilla and Barcelona.

Per ESPN, Referee Isidro Díaz de Mera’s report said Vinicius had "disputed the [red card] decision, shouting, moving towards me with an aggressive attitude, and having to be restrained by his teammates."
Despite his initial reaction, Vini Jr offered an apology via social media after the match. The 26-year-old, who is one of the contenders for the 2026 Ballon d’Or award, wrote on Instagram: "The joy remains. Sorry to my team and the fans.”
Despite the outcry from those with connections to Real Madrid, Villarreal defender Juan Foyth is convinced the referee made the right decision.
"I don't think he meant to hurt anyone but it is a red card," the Argentina international commented.

Vinicius is now suspended for Real Madrid’s next league clash against Sevilla on October 18 and could also miss El Clasico on October 25, depending on whether La Liga decide to extend his ban based on the referee’s report.
Mourinho’s side are currently third in the Spanish league table, one point behind Atletico and six behind league-leaders Barcelona, who have won all eight of their La Liga fixtures.
