**Hull City** retained their unbeaten home record since returning to the Premier League with an entertaining 2-2 draw against **Everton** at the MKM Stadium.

The Tigers have returned to the top flight with an unexpected bang, tasting defeat for the first time in their final fixture before the international break at the hands of Newcastle.

Brennan Johnson found the net in the 34th minute but was denied a first Premier League goal for the Toffees following a VAR check, leaving the sides to go in goalless at the break.

The hosts wasted little time after the interval, however, as Joe Gelhardt opened the scoring in the 48th minute following an error by Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall equalised seven minutes later, with Thierno Barry, who had squandered plenty of earlier chances, then putting the visitors ahead midway through the second period.

Hull responded swiftly, though, with substitute Mohamed Belloumi pulling the home team level in the 74th minute.

Republic of Ireland's John Egan played the full game for the home side, with Jake O'Brien getting a substitute cameo for David Moyes' men.

**Crystal Palace** dealt former boss Oliver Glasner (above) a blow after they bounced back to beat **Nottingham Forest** 3-1 on the Austrian's first return to Selhurst Park.

Dan Ndoye opened the scoring in the third minute of what was largely a dominant first half for the visitors, who came to rue their wasted chances when Daichi Kamada drew the sides level with his first Premier League goal in the 41st minute.

Jefferson Lerma nodded Palace into the lead in first-half stoppage time and Yeremy Pino added a cushion just before the hour mark.

It was a first home Premier League victory for boss Pierre Sage, who was appointed following the summer exit of Glasner, the man who led Palace to trophies in the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League.

Glasner’s decision to join Forest in the wake of tension between the clubs – sparked by the legal fallout from Palace’s demotion to the Conference League before the 2025-26 season – came as a surprise to many.

The Forest boss, and returning right-back Daniel Munoz, were nevertheless greeted warmly on Sunday, save a "you’re getting sacked in the morning" chant minutes before the final whistle.
