Brighton's predicted final Premier League finish after brilliant Arsenal and Sunderland wins

Where will Brighton and their Premier League rivals finish this season? - Opta gives it’s verdict

Brighton's excellent start to the Premier League season continued at Sunderland last Saturday.

The Seagulls - who were reduced to 10-men as Pascal Struijk was dismissed in the 57th minute - enjoyed a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Maxim De Cuyper and Jaouen Hadjam.

Brighton are the leading scorers with 18 goals from six matches and sit third in the Premier League table with 13 points, below second placed Arsenal and leaders Manchester City.

Fabian Hurzeler's men turn their attention to the Uefa Conference League this Thursday as they welcome Lithuanian club FK Kauno Zalgiris to the Amex Stadium and on Sunday it's back to the league as old rivals Crystal Palace are in town.

Chema enjoys Arsenal and Sunderland wins

Brighton midfielder Chema Andres made his full debut the 3-0 win against Arsenal and they made his first away start at Sunderland. The young Spaniard said: "I think we showed that we're a really strong team.

"Every player, the ones playing from the start, the ones who came from the bench, or the ones who didn't come in, were supporting and pushing forward. I think it was a team win."

"Coming to this [Sunderland] stadium to play such a strong team was difficult for us, but the team was really good.

"It was really different to the Arsenal game, but it's the type of game we're going to face during the season. We need to be prepared to face every situation possible."
