Lele Adani believes Edon Zhegrova is not capable of maintaining his best level throughout a full match, raising questions about whether the attacker is suited to playing for Juventus. The Kosovo international has largely been used as an impact substitute since joining the Bianconeri, with his role increasingly focused on providing fresh energy in the second half.
Juventus signed Zhegrova to strengthen their attacking options, but the club needs players who can contribute consistently from the start of matches. So far, the winger has struggled to make a significant impact when named in the starting lineup, leading Luciano Spalletti to rely on him primarily as a substitute.
The manager still considers Zhegrova an important member of his squad, but his performances have not always justified a regular starting role. Even when introduced from the bench against Cagliari, the attacker failed to provide the contribution Juventus needed to secure victory, leaving supporters disappointed with his display.
Zhegrova struggles to make his impact count
Interestingly, Zhegrova has been enjoying his best run of form since moving to Turin, which raised expectations ahead of the Cagliari match. Fans hoped he could use his recent progress to make a decisive difference after coming on, either by scoring himself or creating the opportunity that would give Juventus all three points.
However, that anticipated contribution never materialised. Zhegrova struggled to influence the game, and his performance left plenty to be desired. Although he has shown flashes of quality, Juventus need greater consistency from their attacking players, particularly when matches are finely balanced and opportunities to win are limited.
His current role raises questions about whether he can develop into a dependable starter. While coming off the bench can allow him to exploit tired defenders, Juventus will want more from a player expected to help the team compete for major honours.

Adani questions Zhegrova’s suitability for Juventus
Adani has now offered a critical assessment of the winger, arguing that his limitations over the course of a match make him difficult to rely on as a regular starter. Speaking via Calciomercato, he questioned whether a player who contributes effectively for only short periods can meet Juventus’ expectations.
“Football is quite fluid today, and it’s not wrong to have multiple ideas, but the problem is having limitations. Zhegrova is a half-hour player, and what are we going to do at Juve, with players like that?! We need players who are ready to start, not players who only play thirty minutes. Zhegrova is a player fit for sixth place, but you only make a step forward when someone like him plays three games in a row.”
