Former Ipswich Town youngster Brett McGavin scored the first hat-trick of his career over the weekend.
The 26-year-old midfielder notched his treble in Yeovil Town's 6-0 win at Wealdstone, extending their unbeaten run in the National League to six matches.
McGavin, who captains the Glovers, got his first of the match in the 68th minute when he stroked the ball home from the edge of the box, before netting his brace three minutes later when he latched on to a loose pass and poked the ball into the net.

His third goal came in the 84th minute when he took a couple of strides forward and caressed another in from 25 yards to score his first ever professional hat-trick in an impressive 16 minute spell.
“I don’t think I have to say how happy I am, over the moon,” McGavin told BBC Somerset.
“Obviously I’m taking the match ball home, but what a performance from the team. So proud of everyone.”

Unsurprisingly, he has been named in both the National League and Non-League Paper Team of the Week.
Bury St Edmunds-born McGavin came through the youth ranks at Portman Road, making 11 senior appearances for the Blues, before he left Suffolk in the summer of 2022.
He is now in his third season at Huish Park, having joined them from Torquay United in the summer of 2024.
