Released Ipswich Town Women's midfielder Kaci-Jai Bonwick has signed for FA Women's National League Division One South East side Cambridge United for the 2026/27 season.
The 18-year-old departed the Tractor Girls at the end of last campaign, having progressed through the girls' pathway at Town.
Bonwick broke into the first team in the second half of the 2024/25 season and won the Goal of the Season award for her stunning long-range strike against Cheltenham Town as the Blues won promotion to the WSL 2 for the first time.
She signed her first professional contract at the club in the summer of 2025, before featuring for the Tractor Girls in the Women's League Cup and then spent the second half of 2025/26 at AFC Sudbury on loan.
The all-action midfielder now links up with Ethan Scott's side, who currently sit ninth in the fourth-tier table after the opening six league games.
They have two former Town academy products in their ranks in Abbie Jackson and Molly Sutherland.
