Albion are ready to make line-up changes on European night.

But they will not include a debut for Femi Azeez.

The summer signing from Millwall will not be involved at home to Kauno Zalgiris and was not involved in training on Wednesday.

Pascal Struijk will also sit out the league phase opener.

But Georginio Rutter is expected to lead the attack.

Albion boss Fabian Hurzeler said: “It's a big game for the club and therefore we really focus on that game, we try to prepare well and, regarding starting XI, of course, we try to manage players.

“We try to manage energy from players.

“So there will be definitely some changes, how many I can't say, but all the changes we will do is a great opportunity for the players.

“The changes we will do is because the players deserve it because they show a really good impact in training, really good impact when they come on the pitch. Let's see how it will be.”

Struijk felt his hamstring in the win over Arsenal but was back for the win at Sunderland.

Hurzeler said: “We try to take care of the health of the players.

“Pascal Struijk had some issues in the international break.

“He played 60 minutes against Sunderland and now we try to manage him and therefore tomorrow he won't be available.

“But hopefully he will be back at the end of the week for (Crystal) Palace.”

Azeez is still adapting to the demands of his new club.

Hurzeler said: “Some players need more time to adapt to the intensity.

“It's a little bit similar to Zadok (Yohanna) that we try to give them the environment where they can adapt to our demands, to how we want to play.

“These kinds of players might need a little bit longer but there's not a big issue, something I can report to you.

“Just a thing of adapting and let's see how fast he will adapt and then I'm sure that he will make his first team debut quite soon.”
