As reported by Standard Sport on Tuesday, Bournemouth are willing to consider the 23-year-old’s sale, thus softening their previous stance.
However, a deal will only materialise if certain conditions are met.
Standard Sport understands that Bournemouth are open to selling their prized midfielder in the January transfer window if an offer of more than £100million comes in.
Furthermore, Bournemouth sources say a sale will only happen in January if Premier League survival is looking likely.
As things stand, the Cherries are in the bottom three having failed to win a league game so far this season, losing to Chelsea and Liverpool either side of the international break.
Ironically, it is said that both clubs would be well-placed to move for the central midfielder if either were to pursue their long-standing interest in the January transfer window.
Should Scott make the switch to Liverpool he would be reunited with Iraola and he’s already expressed his fondness of the Spanish tactician.
"I feel like I have had his trust," Scott explained during the summer. "Defensively, maybe in my first two seasons, I wasn’t at the level to be playing in the Premier League, and that is something I had to learn from the players ahead of me in the team.
"But he put his trust in me from the first game of the season, and I played 34 full games this year, so that is something to be really proud of.
“The manager has been amazing for me, working with me going forward, defensively, (and) being more aggressive."

With that said, Chelsea are expected to target Scott at some point in 2027 as they seek a replacement for Enzo Fernandez after failing to do so before the summer transfer window closed.
