Leeds United loaned out winger Largie Ramazani to Burnley in the summer window, with a view to sanctioning a permanent deal in due course.
It’s a shame how Largie Ramazani’s Leeds career has transpired. He looked an incredibly gifted winger when he first joined, scoring goals and producing moments to get fans off their seats, before ultimately seeing his influence wane as Daniel Farke leaned on other options.
Frozen out last season with a loan to Valencia, he’s spending this season out on loan too. However at Burnley, he’s got a much greater chance of securing a permanent exit.
Largie Ramazani off the mark in Burnley’s 2-2 draw vs Charlton Athletic
At Turf Moor, it’s been an incredibly bleak start to life back in the Championship. Ramazani, though, has done his bit to impress Clarets fans already.
The word ‘lively’ has often been the strongest descriptor for the Belgian winger, and his performance on Tuesday night against Charlton Athletic was another good one.
Burnley didn’t manage to collect a second successive league win, as the Addicks levelled deep in added time. It didn’t stop Ramazani from coming out of the game with a strong review, having scored the Clarets’ second on 57 minutes.
Driving down the right side of the penalty area, Ramazani unleashed a fierce low drive into the far corner.
“Put Burnley back in front with a well-taken low strike across the keeper and caused Charlton problems all night. Such a lively player,” Matt Scrafton wrote for the Burnley Express, giving Ramazani an 8/10.
Permanent Largie Ramazani inevitable for Leeds United amid Burnley form
Leeds signed Ramazani for £10million two years ago, and it’s a shame that it hasn’t worked out. But, Burnley look very likely to see us make plenty of that money back.
His permanent Turf Move move hinges on what’s reported as an “achieveable” appearance clause. And, he’ll cost Burnley an up-front £6.5million fee with add-ons on top of that.
He’s already on seven league appearances for the Clarets, so you’d anticipate that he’ll trigger that buy option in no time.
Burnley sit 21st in the table, and aren’t in any position to leave out someone of Ramazani’s quality from their games.
