Brobbey and Diarra travel with Sunderland squad for Torreense test
Brian Brobbey and Habib Diarra have travelled with Sunderland’s squad to Portugal ahead of Thursday’s UEFA Europa League fixture against S.C.U. Torreense (KO 5.45pm BST).
The pair are closing in on returns to action, with Head Coach Régis Le Bris confirming that both players will be involved soon, although the Club will continue to manage their progress carefully.
“Brian travelled with the squad, as did Habib, so they will be involved quickly, but we need to respect the process,” Le Bris explained.
There are further fitness concerns following Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion, with Thomas injured during the game and Wilson Isidor requiring assessment.
“Thomas was injured in the last game, so we will have to wait a bit,” Le Bris added.
“We have one or two players with small knocks as well, so we will see. Wilson got a knock during the game against Brighton, so he will need to be assessed.”
