Tottenham Hotspur wrapped up training at Hotspur Way before jetting off to Spain for camp this week. Roberto De Zerbi is using the trip to Marbella to bring his squad closer together ahead of Monday night’s clash with Coventry City.
Tottenham Hotspur returned to the grass at Hotspur Way to complete their sessions in Enfield before heading to Spain. The players arrived in good spirits after fighting back with ten men for a 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Saturday evening. Trailing to a Bryan Mbeumo goal after Rodrigo Bentancur’s red card, captain Dominic Solanke rescued a point with a late header. With a nine-day gap before their next game, Roberto De Zerbi is taking his group to Marbella.

The Italian boss has used similar retreats at previous clubs like Marseille to help new signings settle in. After bringing in ten new players during the summer window, Tottenham are still chasing their first league win. Explaining the purpose of the Spain trip, De Zerbi said:
“Now the target is to build the team, not the group of the players. We are a great group of players, but we are not a team yet.”
De Zerbi Demands Hunger Ahead Of Coventry City Clash
Working on the Spanish coast gives the coaching staff uninterrupted time with late summer arrivals like Omar Marmoush, Savio and Tosin Adarabioyo. Those recruits are still adjusting to De Zerbi’s tactical style after joining near the deadline. The manager wants the same fight shown at Old Trafford carried into every drill this week.
“We have to find the balance between the confidence in ourselves and to be hungry in the training and in the games.”De Zerbi added.
Once the squad returns to London, attention will turn to Monday evening Premier League fixture against Coventry City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Kickoff is at 8 pm, and the N17 faithful will want to see a sharper side on home turf. Turning Saturday’s late equaliser into three points is essential for the Lilywhites to climb the table. If the trip to Marbella helps this new look squad click, it could be a real turning point.
