David Moyes believes Hull City have signed a very good player in Tim Iroegbunam, after the Scotsman begrudgingly allowed him to leave Merseyside late in the summer.
Iroegbunam has struggled with injuries since arriving at City on the final day of the summer transfer window, with him restricted to just three cameo appearances.
It was feared the 23-year-old would be sidelined with a serious knee injury he picked up in the second half at St James' Park before the international break, but he recovered in time to face his former club on Sunday.

Coming off the bench, Iroegbunam played the final 25 minutes of the 2-2 draw with the Toffees alongside Hidemasa Morita in the heart of the Tigers' midfield, and though he looked rusty, the early signs have been promising.
City identified the former Aston Villa youngster as a primary target following promotion to the Premier League, and courted him for much of the summer. At one stage, it looked like City would walk away from the deal after picking up an injury in August, before the club managed to strike a deal.
Moyes was, and remains, a big fan of the powerful midfielder, who played 53 times for Everton and was a regular in the second half of last season under the Scotsman.

Iroegbunam was keen to push through his move to the MKM Stadium, and could make his first start for City on Saturday when they head to struggling Fulham.
"Yes, I certainly wasn't in a hurry to let Tim go, that's for sure," Moyes told Hull Live. "I think Hull have got a good player and they'll see that in time.
"I know he's coming back (from injury) and he's got some really good attributes. I liked him a lot, and more importantly, he was a brilliant boy as well, a great teammate, the players all liked him, so I could only speak really well about him."
