And speaking on White & Jordan on Thursday morning, Simon has told the club's decision makers what to do in order for the Italian to restore the Manchester giants to their former glory.
What did Jordan say?
"I think if you give Conte what he wants and deliver that on a regular basis, then he will deliver regular success for you," Jordan said.
Conversely, Conte is the sort of manager that if you give an inch, he'll take a mile, as Jordan alluded to.
"The consequence of that is, you have to give him precisely what he wants, endlessly, and probably have to deal with some other nonsense you probably won't appreciate," he continued.

And talkSPORT's Jason Cundy was left fearing for Carrick's Old Trafford future following the home stalemate.
"Carrick is on the rack. I'm telling you now, he is in trouble," he said on GameDay Phone-In.
"That is terrible. The last three games, they lost to 10-man Man City, could've got beaten by Fulham and they draw at home, 1-0 up, to 10-man Spurs.
"They have been absolutely terrible. The heat on Carrick now is going to be unbelievable."
United followed up Saturday's stalemate with a 2-0 Champions League loss at Atletico Madrid.
